Alexandre Da Costa is Head of Strings at the Edith Cowan University (WAAPA) where he lectures in violin and chamber music. He is also a faculty member of the Orford Arts Center

His students include prizewinners of many important regional, national and international competitions including the Sarasate International Competition, Canadian Music Competition, the Montreal Symphony Competition, as well as many local competitions. Alexandre Da Costa’s students have performed as soloists with many of Canada’s leading orchestras such as the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra under Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and hold full music scholarships at numerous music schools and arts programs.

Da Costa is regularly invited as guest professor of institutions such as the University of Queensland (Australia), the McGill University Schulich School of Music (Canada), the University of Toronto (Canada), the Syracuse University Setnor School of Music (USA), the Boccherini Institute of Lucca (Italy), the Université de Montréal (Canada), the University of Texas in San Antonio (USA), the Texas Southwestern University (USA), the Shanghai National Superior Conservatory (China), the National Superior Conservatory of Spain in Madrid, The Taipei Soochow University (Taiwan), etc.
